I don’t see how one could find a better mortgage professional than Troy. He and his team are top notch and the best. The question is why do I say this? Because I spent a year and a half trying to get a “jumbo-jumbo” mortgage done with First Citizens and Wells Fargo but they couldn’t get it done. Our property was very unique with not that many comps, but Troy not only got it done, but also got it done quickly enough that we also got the interest rate we needed. When questions came up Troy and his team responded very quickly. It was outstanding production and service every step of the way.

We were extremely impressed with the professionalism and expediency with which our entire home loan process was completed. With Troy's knowledge of the numerous programs available for veterans and the additional options on the conventional side, he was able to secure for us the absolute best financing on the market today. We were very reluctant to even begin this process given the current state of rates, however, Troy walked us through every step, explained every option in detail, and was able to secure an amazing deal. His staff is second to none and was key in guiding us through the documentation-gathering process. I would highly recommend Troy to anyone contemplating a refinance or home purchase.

I can't say enough about Troy. From the moment I first contacted him through final close, he was always responsive, polite, informative, and just a great guy to chat with. Building our home was a stressful process, as we were managing from far out of state. He helped guide us through the application process. Later we faced a combination of delays and rising mortgage rates. Troy helped us game the timing of our lock-in as well as navigate a last-minute delay that complicated closing and threatened to extend closing beyond the limits of our lock-in period. He kept us apprised of our options and provided the information we needed to put pressure on other parties. Perhaps we could have utilized either an internet broker or a bank from our home state. But in the end, we are thankful that we chose to go with Troy and Cornerstone Lending.
