I had been trying to buy a home for about two years now as a self-employed business owner who began their business in the tail-end of 2019. In the beginning of 2022, I had been told by numerous loan underwriters that it would be impossible for me to get a loan with such few years being in business and was quite set-back because of it. When I was discussing this with an acquaintance, they had told me to reach out to Gail and her team to see if they could help me out. Of course at first I didn't have much expectations when they told me this because of the previous underwriters I had spoken with, but I called Gail and explained to her that I was only 25 and have only ever had income from my three-year-old business - and for the first time I heard an underwriter tell me that they believed they could get me approved. We chatted for about an hour initially and then she sent me a follow-up email with everything I needed to know about the application process, deadlines, and what documents I needed to get together before applying as a self-employed applicant. The list was quite extensive because of being self-employed, so it took me about a month to get everything together, but Gail and her team were always there for me whenever I had a question or ran into an issue. Once I had all of my documents together and submitted them to Gail and her team, I was provided follow-ups routinely if there were any issues with what I submitted or if there was another task I needed to complete. With all of this being online, I figured it would be some what challenging and hectic, but the system they have in place made everything just so relaxed and seamless. After the application was submitted and I had been pre-approved, I already had everything else that was needed to be done scheduled since I knew it would be required from my conversations with them. If you are contemplating who to go with for this big step in your life, I would seriously suggest at least giving Gail a call and seeing for yourself the things I have described above. Without even ever meeting in-person, I never had a single issue with this entire process, which I have been told is very surprising. Thank you Gail, Clecia, and Ellen.
