10 + Stars!!! We chose Sam Skipworth from Cross Country Mortgage to help us with buying our next home. We had several mortgage companies to choose from and fortunately we chose Sam! We were living in IL and planning to move to CO so initially we wanted only a pre-approval so we could get started. Sam ended up being with us throughout the next 12 months and helped us weather the insane housing market of Spring 2021. Our home buying process was not straightforward and took exactly one year and three different Realtors before we finally closed on our home. Sam was our advocate the entire time. After a very fast pre-approval, Sam would literally check in with us on a weekly basis to see how we were doing and if we needed any additional information. We found a variety of properties and changed our mind several times on what we wanted to spend. Sam was right there providing figures and advice. We were involved with one home for more than 4 months before the deal fell through due to the sellers and he was even there for support when we were devastated to start the search process all over. When I found a lower percentage rate with another lender, Sam matched it. When we finally found our destination home, Sam explained how we could lower the current loan percentage rate. He was very helpful to us in an area where we had little knowledge and understanding. I even asked our Realtor at the time if we should consider using his mortgage person to keep it within his "team" and he said no, that Sam had been very responsive, helpful and was doing an excellent job. We were very proud to have Sam on our Team! I have had mortgage brokers in the past who were detached, not helpful at all and were not able to help guide me through the process. This was a completely different experience. I would hire Sam Skipworth again in a heartbeat. Cross Country Mortgage is just that....they represent mortgages across the country.
