As first time homebuyers, my husband and I spoke to a number of different lenders about trying to secure a mortgage loan. Both of us have pretty good credit scores, and good income, but were told many times that we just weren’t ready to purchase a home, and wouldn’t be for at least a couple years. This was discouraging, and we were about ready to give up and start renting. Luckily, we got in touch with Brian who was unlike any of the other lenders. He took the time to get to know our situation, and pointed out the strengths and weaknesses in our application that so many other lenders just didn’t bother giving us advice on. He seemed so confident he could help, we decided to give it another shot.
From the moment I got off the phone with him after that first conversation, Brian was there for us every step of the way. Within 24 hours he had a list of documents he needed, and by the end of the week we had a pre-approval, giving us the freedom to go start looking at properties. Responsiveness and timeliness are very important when applying for mortgages and Brian never let us down. Rates were competitive with our credit union.

He recommended I not attempt to re-fi into a jumbo loan and that I should simply shop the HELOC on its own because my primary is excellent. He takes the time to understand your home ownership goals and future length of stay in the home.
