Communication was excellent throughout, documents were uploaded electronically, and I received weekly updates on document reviews, requested items, and loan status. Derek was completely transparent about loan origination fees and closing costs.
On the day of closing, he even arranged for a mobile notary to verify identity, notarize the documents, and scan them back to the lender. The process was efficient, client-friendly, and seamless. Derek’s approach focused on educating me about different loan options and providing clear guidance on each one.

Derek Towns was very easy to work with. He was very communicative, always very kind on the phone or email and always answered the questions I had while going through a refinance. I’m a very persistent person so I hope I didn’t cause too much of a headache for him! You never realize the steps you have to go through when you own a manufactured home but I’m certain every step were the right ones. I’m just glad we were finally able to do this and Rate gave us that opportunity. Thank you to Derek and everyone on his team for helping us navigate this loan process.

This is an important nuance in client retention as I was looking into opportunities to improve my situation. I've had this loan for +2.5 years and making $1,300 monthly payments including additional principal on top to only see my principal drop by $7k is very disheartening.
