Atlantic Homes, especially Scott, were amazing. We were first time home buyers, and we were not sure how the process worked. We met Scott first through phone calls, and e-mails. He explained how the market was going, and how the interest rate would either raise, stay the same or lower but it really just depends. He was always available through his phone, whether it was text messages, phone calls or e-mails, either way he would answer any questions we had. He never made us feel like we were asking too many questions. When we finally met Scott, we knew we would hit it off. He was still the same man on the phone, always open to questions, and helping us. After our meeting, his team helped us with the paperwork, website, questions, etc. The website was user friendly, it is a lot of paperwork, but it is typically and expected when you are asking for a loan. The team was available as well for questions. What really kicked it out of the park for us, was that Scott came to our officially Home Purchasing Day. Scott came to our lawyers office, and he sat at the table with us for support when my fiance and I signed all the paperwork for the home purchasing. We did not expect that, but we knew this was an excellent example of customer service. You do not see or hear about that often. No complaints, great atmosphere, everyone was knowledgeable, overall we were not stressed when we worked with Atlantic Home Loans!

As a first time home buyer, Scott was great at pushing things along for me, set expectations early on and took time out of his day to attend my closing. A personalized experience where, as a buyer, issues that could have been brought about by the big banks were avoided & a non issue.
I was deciding between a big bank and Scott's team when choosing my rate as the big bank rate was slightly more favorable (at the time) and I'm glad I went with Scott as I later on found out that the big bank loan agent was out of office for almost 3 weeks indicating that I most likely would have had delays and issues. Scott called this out in my very first conversation with me and I'm glad I adhered to the professional advice. When everything shook out and numbers confirmed, Scott ended up being the better deal from a financial perspective even if the initial quote didn't show that. His goal is to set expectations early so there are no surprises.
My advise to first time home buyers in NJ - Scott is great, friendly and clear. Listen to his advise and do not be shy to ask questions. Make sure you share all your details with him as early as possible and he will guide you through your purchase.
