The entire process was quick and seamless. I was pleasantly surprised to have received a pre approval back within a day. Eli was great at thoroughly explaining each step of the process and providing additional information when requested. All documents were ready for a smooth closing. Friendly and process was smooth!

The only issue we had was with the appraisal process. First off we only borrowed 19% of the price of the home. So the expense of an appraisal seemed unnecessary. Second, one the appraisal was ordered and paid for it seemed like me, the customer, was not represented will during that process. We'll was great, but getting updates about the appraisal, which should have been extremely easy, wasn't possible because it was out of Eli's hands and with an external company. I tried to get contact info for the appraiser but couldn't so really felt like I was paying for a service that I could not contribute in. I want to be clear. Eli was great! This is a complaint about how appraisals are assigned and farmed out. I

This was my 3rd time using Ruoff and I have always appreciated the process and the friendliness of their teams. The other times there was not an online portal, so this was my first time using that and I appreciated the process and updates provided by my team and the portal. This time was a very emotional time for me buying as it was due to an unforeseen divorce and the housing market is vastly different than my last time buying independently and I felt supported through the whole process.

The process for me started out as a VA loan, Ruoff did a lot of work to have the VA shut it down in the end. They were very helpful transitioning into a conventional loan while the VA straightened their issue out. I am still eligible for a VA loan in the future. Eli was most helpful navigating through first time home buyer questions. Thank you
