Conor is the kind of guy who wasn’t afraid of some elbow grease. He got his pre approved for a mortgage within a matter of hours, even working with us into late hours of the night… past midnight! I don’t think there was a time that he didn’t pick up his phone or reply to my texts/emails. 5 stars from me and my wife, no doubt.

I am a first-time homebuyer, and before working with Conor, I had spoken with several other lenders. None were as responsive, knowledgeable, or willing to work through the details with me. I was trying to take advantage of a very specific grant program and needed a pre-approval letter based on a few different scenarios. After just one short conversation, Conor sent me three separate pre-approval letters based on the options we had discussed. That level of responsiveness and attention to detail immediately gave me confidence that I had found the right lender to work with. From that point forward, Conor continued to be incredibly helpful throughout the home-buying process. I genuinely felt like he understood what I was trying to accomplish and was willing to go the extra mile to help me get there. We closed on a home purchase in under 4 weeks through a relocation company, with a lot of moving pieces and uncertainty. The one constant was our mortgage, thanks to Conor. He was responsive at all hours and delivered exactly what he promised. When we found a lower rate elsewhere, he matched it. Other lenders quoted a few points lower but the fees were unclear; with Conor everything was transparent. Our attorneys also commented on how smooth it was working with Guaranteed Rate. Great experience overall. We highly recommend Conor Whiting. Happy to speak directly with anyone who wants more detail.

Conor and the team at Rate made this a very streamlined and organized process for us. As a first time homebuyer, he introduced and explained there's a "first-time homebuyers course" I can take through Maine State Housing. I found that course to be very educational, and had a 1 on 1 phone call with them afterwards. This also helped with some of my closing costs. The pre-approval process was very straightforward, all I had to do was upload the requested documents; in my experience, I received same day correspondence and updates along the way. Between the ease of closing this loan, organization, and my realtors opinion, we'd give Conor and the team a 10/10

Conor is amazing to work with, made everything super simple and was always available to answer questions. He continuously checked up on us to see if we needed anything and made sure to let us know he is always available for any questions even after closing. When another lender backed out on us Conor was referred to us and got everything moving and completed very fast. I will definitely be reaching out to him when its time for an upgrade.
