Derek kept constant communication with me and kept the process going for closing. He was very informative and willing to help. He also made himself available for any questions I had.

Even though Derek kept saying that it was a team effort to get to closing, I felt that if it had not been for Derek we would not have made it to closing. He communicated better than the coordinator and the title company. In that team effort, he was the MVP.

Derek’s services were great. There was some inefficiency through the process ( not Derek’s fault) that made things a little bumpy. But he was kind and communicative—-being willing to help us in whatever way he could with our home loan. In the end, all was well. He is a very good loan officer.

Derek is very very knowledgeable! I needed a lot of handholding throughout the process and he was always available and so helpful! Home buying itself is a stressful process and this was my first home - Derek handled my frustrations like a champ! He was so patient and kind. Derek went above and beyond to help us get into our new house. When the builder had multiple construction delays Derek made sure the loan was not negatively impacted. He coordinated with our homeowner's insurance agent to ensure that we would have coverage despite 6 closing dates that affected the ability of the insurance agent to issue a rider because their system locks out after the third change to the effectivity date. He stayed late on Friday April 14 to issue an update to our loan disclosure and he took a call during our Monday April 17 closing appointment to answer a question about documentation that was presented to us to sign. He was an absolute ROCK STAR. You need to give this guy a raise and then you need to clone him. Derek did a lot to make up for the fact that the builder was completely disorganized and left us scrambling at the last minute. THANK YOU DEREK - YOU DID AN AWESOME JOB!

Derek kept me informed about current rates and also about the procedures that needs to be followed after each step. He also clarified any questions that I had regarding the loan.

Derek was awesome and saved me thousands of dollars. He reached out to me to help me lock in interested rates. As a first time homeowner, I didn't even know what "locking in" meant. He explained it to me and made sure it happened. Frankly, if I hadn't locked in, I would have probably have been priced out since rates would eventually triple from when I was first shopping. Besides that, Derek was professional and friendly and probably would have gotten 5 stars just on his demeanor, patience, and willingness to explain complicated financial stuff to my simple, first-time-homeowner brain.
